- What should I do if I find a stray?
- Contact your local municipality, because not all townships contract with Chippewa Humane.
- You can also call us to find out who you should contact in your township.
- Post your missing animal on Lost Dogs/Cats of Wisconsin. Also, post on Lost Animal pages on Facebook.
- Set out smelly food (bacon/hamburger) with their bed/litter box and anything else that smells like home.
- What should I do if I lost my pet?
- Contact Chippewa Humane and leave a detailed message and send a photo to info@chippewahumane.com
- Contact local municipality.
- Post on Facebook and Craigslist lost/found.
- Lost Dogs/Cats of Wisconsin is also good to report to for lost pets.
- What steps do I need to take to reclaim an animal at your facility?
- Call and setup a time to pick up your animal.
- $20 a day fee plus the $20 for the initial day fee.
- Proof of Rabies vaccination.
- Drivers License or proof of Identification.
- Picture of Animal.
- What should I do if I want to surrender an animal?
- Call and make an appointment for surrender. There will also be a surrender fee.
- Bring proof of any veterinary history.
- Be patient, the reason you have to call and make an appointment is because we do not euthanasia for space and we have to have room for your animal.
